Nathan Worrall
Marketing Lead

Nate has a B.U.S in Entrepreneurship with an emphasis in Marketing, Strategic Communication, and Business Administration from North Dakota State University. Nate currently works as the sole founder of a digital marketing agency. Nate has gained experience in B2B marketing, B2C marketing, social media marketing, outbound marketing, and content marketing with primary exposure in the digital space.

Jeffrey Arnold
Product Lead

Jeff has a B.S. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota. Currently a graduate student studying Sport Management at the University of Minnesota, Jeff's experience includes business operation roles at Wells Fargo, Thrivent Credit Union, and Community Relation roles with the Minnesota Twins and Sky Blue FC.

Sam Cartford
Co-Founder

Sam has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. Sam currently works as a Technical Analyst for Boom Lab. During this time, Sam has gained experience in data science, fintech, cloud systems, and corpus linguistics, with primary exposure in the technical analytics realm with companies like Inspire Brands and Wells Fargo. Sam's past work has involved computer science applications including cybersecurity, cloud platform development, and database management.

Ramsey Shaffer
Co-Founder

Ramsey has a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Currently an MBA candidate at the University of Minnesota, Ramsey's past work involves process engineering applications such as big data analytics for fin-tech for Wells Fargo and Thomas Reuters.

Do I have to change my account status to business or creator?

Yes you do! In order to connect your account to Social Connect, you'll need to convert your Instagram into either a business or creator account.

Do I need to link a Facebook page with my Instagram account?

All creator or business accounts will need to have a Facebook page associated to it.

What is my minimum amount of followers required to share my insights?

There is no minimum amount of followers required to share your insights. Ideally, to make the insights more insightful, we recommend aiming for 1,000 followers. 

How long does a brand have access to my Instagram insights and can I remove the brand’s access to my insights?

Through your Social Connect account, you’ll be able to manage which brand is able to access your insights. You’ll also be able to disconnect your insights anytime you like. 

What insights from my Instagram account am I actually sharing with the brand?

Only after you grant permission, the brand will be able to see your Audience Insights which you can find within your Instagram account. We also provide a snapshot of your data your sharing within your Social Connect account. 

Who can access my Instagram data?

Only the brands who you specifically give permission to. No other brand will be able to see your audience insights unless you provide them with your permission. 

How do you handle my personal data? Do you have access to my password?

The Social Connect app securely connects directly to Facebook in order to retrieve these insights. This ensures that all your insight data is stored via Facebook platform and not directly on Social Connect. 

Could this have a negative impact on my reach on Instagram?

This will definitely have no impact whatsoever on your reach on Instagram. The Social Connect app simply is a ‘read only’ which means we have no control over posts or stories. 

Will you be able to post posts on behalf of my account or make any other actions such as comments?

Similar to what was mentioned above. The Social Connect is ‘read only’, which essentially means we will never be able to do any actions such as posting or commenting on behalf of your Instagram account.

What will you Social Connect do with my data after I connect my Instagram account?

Why should I use Social Connect and not just send a screenshot?

What is Babbl?

Babbl is a technology company that builds sentiment analysis tools for retail investors. Stock & crypto traders young, old, novice and adept can use our software to improve their research process and gauge the mood of the markets more effectively. Though we are just getting started, our long-term goal is to be the one-stop-shop for all of your investment media analysis.

Why track sentiment?

Market sentiment refers to the overall attitude of investors towards a particular stock or stock market as a whole. Positive and negative sentiment help drive price fluctuation which create investment opportunities for active traders and long-term investors.

What is sentiment analysis?

Sentiment analysis is a proven successful method of applying market psychology to a trading strategy. Empirical evidence proposes that market sentiment is one of the most reliable indicators of fluctuating price shifts.

With sentiment analysis done correctly, investors can comb through much of the noise without sacrificing value. Babbl enhances sentiment analysis by aggregating the mood of the entire online conversation around a particular stock, cryptocurrency, market, or industry. When sentiment is used to determine significant news or events paired with corresponding analysis of ticker financial performance, users can identify when the 'hype' is overvalued and undervalued. Finance-specific sentiment analysis also enables users to score news publishers in terms of their credibility and insight. By ranking individuals and sources based on their ticker mentions and price correlation, Babbl can generate an influencer score to show performance. Overall, these combined features allow Babbl to enable the everyday investor to make well-informed decisions with the power of #DueDiligence investing.
